A healthcare company is seeking a Director of Nursing. The candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, and regulations to ensure that quality care is maintained at all times.
Skills and Requirements
- Lead daily operations for the nursing department.
- Set and track departmental goals and objectives.
- Develops and implements nursing policies and procedures.
- Hire, onboard, train, and supervise nursing staff.
- Set the nursing schedule.
- Provide direct patient care when necessary.
- Investigate patient complaints.
- Oversee the department’s budget.
- Design and manage continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN)
- Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN)
- Supervisory experience in a skilled nursing facility, hospital, or clinic.
- CPR and first aid certification.
- Experience with long-term care.
